For starters, being pregnant at the same time as your sister is a unique experience. But the story of American twin sisters Becky Pistone and Rachael McGeoch goes a little further. Not only did the sisters give birth an hour apart, but the doctor noticed an incredible detail after the babies were born.
Identical twins
Becky and Rachel are identical twins: they look a lot alike. But their personalities go hand in hand too. The sisters have the same hobbies and group of friends and were very close since they were little. As children, they even wore necklaces with their names on because even their parents couldn't tell them apart!

Becky and Rachael's story is amazing. But the close bond they have is more common. If you know twins, you may have noticed this before. Siblings seem to have a different way of communicating with each other that doesn't necessarily involve words. These twins, who got pregnant at the same time can attest to that.
Researchers have done a lot of studies to understand what is going on between the twins. It seems the two have a better idea of each other than "normal" siblings, but it's hard to explain why.
